10月25日至28日德國(guó)骨科和創(chuàng)傷外科學(xué)會(huì)（DKOU）年會(huì)在德國(guó)柏林國(guó)際會(huì)展中心盛大開幕。這是歐洲大陸最大規(guī)模的骨科全球盛會(huì)。全球60多個(gè)國(guó)家上萬(wàn)名骨科醫(yī)生參加了這一國(guó)際盛會(huì)。世界微創(chuàng)脊柱大師Prof.Mayer在德國(guó)骨科與創(chuàng)傷外科學(xué)會(huì)年會(huì)的主席晚宴被正式授予了金色榮譽(yù)徽章。大會(huì)為了表彰Mayer大師的終身成就以及他對(duì)骨科事業(yè)所作出的全球貢獻(xiàn)。當(dāng)天晚宴上，德國(guó)骨科與創(chuàng)傷外科學(xué)會(huì)前主席Prof.Siebert也非常高興曾通過(guò)Mayer大師的特別推薦在2019年兩次來(lái)到中國(guó)為東莞市人民醫(yī)院和佛山市第一人民醫(yī)院關(guān)節(jié)外科開展國(guó)際客座教授的工作。這是非常特別而有意義的工作。Mayer大師在上世紀(jì)80年代在德國(guó)開展了第一臺(tái)微創(chuàng)脊柱手術(shù)，1997年開發(fā)了革命性的OLIF技術(shù)。1998年接手慕尼黑大學(xué)附屬骨科醫(yī)院并將其私有化，任創(chuàng)始院長(zhǎng)，率先在德國(guó)創(chuàng)立了大骨科分科體系，首次把運(yùn)動(dòng)醫(yī)學(xué)細(xì)分到了脊柱領(lǐng)域。2006年合并了德國(guó)脊柱外科學(xué)會(huì)及脊柱研究學(xué)會(huì)，改名為德國(guó)脊柱學(xué)會(huì)并任創(chuàng)始主席，同年任歐洲脊柱學(xué)會(huì)主席。2007年國(guó)際足聯(lián)卓越醫(yī)療中心落地在他的醫(yī)院。2016年他開啟了大師中國(guó)行。他幫助中國(guó)三甲醫(yī)院的醫(yī)院管理、學(xué)科建設(shè)、人才培養(yǎng)。成為國(guó)際化診療標(biāo)準(zhǔn)在中國(guó)的傳導(dǎo)者。讓千千萬(wàn)萬(wàn)中國(guó)骨科醫(yī)生成為更好的自已。他首次在中國(guó)提出了：醫(yī)療必須要全球思考，這是國(guó)家使命。從慕尼黑到廣州。中國(guó)一定可以再一次續(xù)寫他的傳奇。

DKOU 2022 - German Congress of Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery was held at Messe Berlin from 25 to 28 October. This is the largest event in the field of orthopedics and trauma surgery in Europe with around 10,000 attendees from more than 60 countries across the globe Prof.Mayer, the worldwide renowned minimally invasive spine expert, received the Golden Insignia of Honor at the president dinner of DKOU 2022, which was for his lifetime achievements and for his merits for the orthopedic specialty. At the banquet, Prof. Siebert, the former President of German Society for Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery, was happy that he visited China twice in 2019 as a visiting professor recommended by Prof.Mayer. respectively in Dongguan People’s Hospital and Foshan First People’s Hospital, which was special and meaningful. Prof.Mayer did one of the first minimally invasive spine surgeries in the 1980s in Germany, developed the revolutionizing technique of OLIF in 1997. In 1998, acting as the Founding Medical Director, he participated in the transformation of the previous Orthopedic Klinik of the University of Munich and started sub-specialization in the field of Orthopedics and sub-specialization in Sports Medicine. In 2006, the German Society for Spine Surgery and the Society for Spine Research were merged into the German Spine Society and Prof.Mayer is the Founding President. In the same year, he was the President of EUROSPINE. In 2007, Sch?n Klinik München Harlaching became one of the first FIFA Medical Centers of Excellence. In 2016, he started the project Master’s Visit to China via Gloryren, helping Grade Three Class A hospital in China in hospital management, specialty constructioon and talent cultivation, as a disseminator of international standard of diagnosis and treatment in China, inspiring and motivating thousands of Chinese orthopedic surgeons to become better. He introduced the concept to China that healthcare needs global thinking, which is a national mission. From Munich to Guangzhou, his legacy is bound to be continued in China.
